AN ORGANIZATIONAL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM FOR
CARTE BLANCHE (kart blansh) ORGANIZATION

Introduction:

From the very first day of the class, we, in our organization have built this relationship which we treasured until now. This attachment starts from solving puzzles, giving ideas and sharing opinions. Each meeting, the connection of our organization keeps getting closer and more harmoniously, however the activities that we are doing every meeting is also getting harder and it keeps our patience in a critical manner.
That’s why this program was created under the virtue of my own powers… (Just kidding --,) Seriously, this is a compilation of our activity the whole semester.

Rationale:

The most important factor in an organization is the head or the instructor. Aside from the textbooks, hand-outs, and other references, the instructor himself is the fundamental source of knowledge. Because he can direct learning activities and he stimulates thinking and the creativity of the class. How he shared or imparted his insights and experiences can be a big influence and will leave a great impact on his students’ life either psychologically or emotionally.
Thus, all the activities that we have done in our organization will be a firm foundation once we become the teacher or global manager in the near future.

General Goals:

Our primary goal here is for the individuals to learn and appreciate the value of human behavior in an organization. And as a part of social and mental growth, they will also learn how to get along well with smaller or even larger group of people in an organization which they belong.

Specified Objectives:

  • To be able to realize the essential part of organizational behavior by cramming all the activities given;
  • To have an idea about the significance of behavioral learning, or the teaching of good manners since it is the hardest to achieve;
  • To instill in every reader’s mind the motivation and enthusiasm once engaged in a certain organization;
  • To know the importance of getting along with others by recognizing and applying the qualities one should possess, and;
  • To arouse one’s interest to learn faster and to retain what he/she had learned.

Mar. 5      C2:  Information Technology Management (Skills)

Descriptions:

A1: Leadership and Mentoring
These two factors have their own characteristics and functions. Leadership thing is a big responsibility and it requires maximum effort to be an effective one. On the other hand, mentoring or being able to guide or counsel also requires broad spectrum of knowledge and experience.

A2: Teamwork and Effectiveness
To be able to have a great accomplishment of the goals, everyone must work as a team; joint effort makes all work easier and faster. And if there is cooperation among the members it will result to an effective organization.

B1:  Organizational Culture
The organization’s culture depends on its personality or appropriate behavior; it deals with the communication, values, and relations to each member. However, culture can somehow be a positive or negative nature in an individuals’ attitude.

B2:  Organizational Structure and Design
It entails the rules, regulations, methods and relationships within the organization. General Managers are obliged in making decisions that must be perform correspondingly.

C1:  Organizational Change and Learning
Changes are inevitable, but as things changes we should not overlook at the things that helps us to improve. There are also factors of change needed to be considered by an organization. And as long as there are changes, we are anticipated to learn from the things that changes may bring.

C2:  Information Technology Management
           Through the use of IT nowadays, companies’ and organization are exerting a minimal effort for their work because of the high technologies. It can make all our work easier, faster and convenient, and information technology provides variety of information that we can make use of: either organizationally or personally.

Au’ Fait Organizational Development Norms:
Norms of organizational behavior are sometimes formalized in the form of policies and regulations in which all members should strictly comply with it. For instance,
..They should possess the characteristics of being a good leader for them to develop confidence and trust of their people,
..Relationships must be close and must be highly valued by the members,
..Every member should work together in a harmonious way,
..Members should not become dependent with their co-members/leaders,
..They should develop common interests and motives towards the prosperity of the organization, and lastly,
..Do no let your weaknesses interfere with your motives for your organization.

Au’ Fait Activities’ Norms:
As often as stated, norms are guides or models of behavior which tells us what is right or wrong, appropriate or not. It regulates people’s behavior in a given organization. Like in ours, there is also some form of norms to needed to be followed, for example, if we are having this ‘interaction process’ everyone must participate and response accordingly. Members of an organization should have also the same perspective which is to be consistent in their positive action concerning the achievement of some common objectives.
These kinds of norms need not be written rules or regulations, (it’s all in the mind) but these guidelines or set of rules will certainly influence the entire organization.
Our activities in the past ten years, undoubtedly, created a set of standards in which we abided by.

Au’ Fait Norms for Collaboration:
Norms, values, cultures and other characteristics are possessed and/or practiced by every individual. But they all differ from one another; this is because people are born different, no two persons are exactly alike (even identical twins).
With this, the norms for collaboration simply talks about cooperation: means, a shared effort between the members to achieve a common goal. In addition, teamwork is very crucial, this kind of norm is usually essential to the organization because it will result to the achievement of your goals.
These are only few of the norms that guide us in every interaction. Many of it is still in our organization and yet we are often not even aware of them.

Au’ Fait Evaluation:
I assess this as a personality development aside from learning new information (academically), because it is not only about the subject itself, but the value of the behavior in an organization. There are several patterns and standards to be considered once enrolled in this class. As well as ideas and facts provided by each and everyone. Through this, I believe it will produce quite competitive and potential leaders that will someday nurture the minds of the upcoming generations.

Recommendation:
We are all meant to learn things as long as we’re here on our beloved planet Earth. And it’s not about the things that you have learned, but how you made use of your learning is what truly matters.
              In times like this, we should concentrate and get rid of some things that might attract our attention away from the things that we should learn. Even professors should use different styles or strategies to prevent the boredom in his class.
              I recommend to all the readers to feed their mind while they are young and while they have the time. Everyone should make use of every opportunity to learn and discover new things.
And certainly the ability to get along with others is the main ingredient of a successful organization. Every individual must establish rapport so that there will be better cooperation amongst everyone.

Personal Learning Summary:
              Generally, this subject is a major factor in providing behavioral output in an individual’s life. By doing this, I myself created and develop mutual goals towards the organization. I have also gained genial relationship within the entire group.
              At first I was a bit anxious about the previous activities (because it was really nerve-racking) but then I just pray for it, seek for the guidance of our dear Lord and I instill in my head that this is just another challenge in my college life. So I give my paramount shot to be able to cope up and to pass all the requirements.
              Such as the SLE or structured learning experience, this meaningful and relevant activity – the learning circle will truly enrich one’s mind, (I even have my own blogspot!).
Since my first year of college, all that I’ve experienced was reporting… recitation… startle quizzes… etc, etc… But this one is very out of the ordinary and perhaps this will be the first and the last activity that I may encounter.
The bond between me and my classmates have, during every session is quite immeasurable and I know it will leave a mark in our precious minds. The heart of this subject is all about the interconnection amongst the individuals.
              This field of study will definitely give you some kind of a halo… annoying yet interesting!
